In Baztán, a trip to prehistory is possible. The valley has about 600 megaliths built by the first humans who settled there 5,000 years ago until the arrival of the Romans. On the Gorramendi pass there are several of these archaeological remains, such as a 1.8 meter high menhir (standing stone).

In addition to this attraction, the many peaks in the Gorramendi massif are a challenge for climbers. One of them is Mount Gorramendi (1,074 m high), which was home to an American military base between 1959 and 1966.

You can get to Mount Gorramendi by a road that starts from the Otsondo pass (NA-2655).
