El Pulguer is a Place of Community Importance and a Nature Reserve. It has an arid climate, similar to the Bardenas Reales which is nearby and, although it is a highly important wetland for birds and other species that inhabit it, visitors can also swim and practise sports in designated areas.
The temperature is 22-26°C in summer and the waters are of high quality.
