In the heart of the western Pre-Pyrenees of Navarre, is the extensive Sierra de Abodi, separating the valleys of Irati and Salazar. It is almost 20 km long, with the highest point of the massif (at 1,533 m) located in the centre on the mountain that gives its name to the mountain range. Its green hills are covered with pastures and beech trees, which in autumn give the mountains a special beauty.
In addition to mountaineering, in winter you can go skiing at the Abodi-Irati Nordic Ski Centre. The centre has about 22 km where skiing can be done and 2 snowshoe tracks, all of which are easy.
Access: You can make numerous excursions from Ollokia, Tapla or Ochagavía.
